Our First Egg!

Brandon finally found our first egg!
He was so excited!
Look how tiny it is!
Guess I better start looking for egg recipes!

New Bike Helmets

The weather has finally cooled off enough for the kids to be able to play outside again!  Caleb got a new "big boy" bike with training wheels!  He loves it; he jumped on and started riding right away!

The kids love riding their bikes and scooters in the garage.

Look at Caleb go!

I bought the kids new bike helmets because we've started going on walks while the kids ride their bikes.  There isn't much traffic on our country road, but I feel so much better with the kids wearing their helmets!

The first night we bought the helmets the kids did everything with them on!
After bike riding, Caleb needed to move some rocks:

Then he needed to move more rocks with his dump truck:

Sarah was teaching Bella, our cat, to walk:
(not sure Bella enjoyed the experience)

Marley was jealous of all the attention Bella was getting, so here is a picture of him too!

Mud Makeover

I don't know why I haven't learned my lesson by now. . . .
when the kids are quiet, go investigate!!!

Caleb brought home a Ziploc baggie of dirt from Grandpa Ken's house.  Caleb said he wanted to start his own dirt collection. . . that should have been my first clue.  However, the cute little boy told me he would only add the dirt to Daddy's garden  . . . that should have been my second clue.

After a very enjoyable 30 minutes of quiet, my third clue, I went to let the kids know it was time to get ready for bed. . .thankfully it was bath night because this was the cute little face that greeted me at the door . . .

I guess Caleb thought this was a better use of Grandpa's dirt than putting it in Daddy's garden.

I did ask if his face felt smoother, but he didn't quite understand what I was asking.

Gotta love my boy!!!

Projects, Projects, Projects

Do they ever end?  I have so many project and so many different project lists I can't keep them all straight!  I didn't get the house cleaned because we were gone all weekend at the Homecoming; I've been trying to add some new decorations to the house because I haven't really decorated since we move in over 3 years ago; my sewing room looks like a tornado struck; but at least all the school supplies are purchased, organized & ready to go!

Sarah starts school in 10 days. . . maybe I can get something done on my Friday's off!  Well if Caleb cooperates that is!

Maybe I should just tear up my project list and make some brownies tonight. . . mmmmm, I think I will!

2nd Annual Holiday World Trip

We took our second annual trip to Holiday World in July!
It is a quick trip - we leave at six am on Wednesday morning and get home around midnight Thursday!  I am so blessed to have a husband that can drive while I sleep in the van!

We love this park. . . the free soft drinks (we fuel up on lemonade), the free sun screen, the water park!!  The park is so clean, it amazes me!

We enjoyed Holiday World rides both days before and after going to Splashin' Safari.
The old car ride is one of the kids favorites; I had a really hard time pushing the pedal down for Sarah or maybe I just wanted her to drive slower . . .not sure which, but she was getting a little frustrated with me!

Both of the kids wanted to ride the scrambler ride, but Daddy doesn't care for rides that go in circles.  You can barley see the kids in the picture, but Caleb is sitting on my left and Sarah on the right.  I was laughing so hard I was crying!  The kids loved it!  Caleb kept screaming "wahoo, wahoo" and Sarah was just screaming . . .

The kids did great at waiting in line this year - what a difference one year makes!

We went with our wonderful friends, which makes all the difference in the world!
The kids enjoy all the rides involving water. . . the slides, the bumper boats or just standing in the water!

Darren, Caleb & I were waiting on everyone else to ride the Mammoth, so we stayed in the kiddie pool by the frog slide - the boys had a great time playing together!

They were racing each other down the Zebra slides. . .  at one point they even tried to ride the Zebras!

Brandon, Mike and the boys enjoyed the wave pool

and the carousel. . .

but I got to enjoy the eagle ride (because it goes in circles)!!

Here's the gang all ready to go. . . don't they look excited!
Good thing I got this picture in the morning and not at the end of the day!

Oops, almost forgot this beautiful picture. . . at least I was in a couple pictures this year!

It was a great adventure and we can't wait for next year!!!

Sarah's 3rd Dance Recital

Sarah participated in her 3rd dance recital on June 2, 2012.
She takes ballet and tap lessons and performs in one tap and one ballet song at the recital.
Her ballet dance was her favorite this year; I think because they dance to a Taylor Swift song, which is currently her favorite singer!

Daddy bought Sarah some flowers . . .

Sarah loved the tap costume.  I wasn't wild about the bow . . .
but she loved the gloves!

Sarah did a great job; she is always a little nervous right before going on stage, but once she is out there she really enjoys herself!  She does a great job with the routine!  We are so very proud of her!!!
